Chapter 1
Spawn, land, homes and staying safe.
You arrive at spawn, which is protected. Use /rtp to jump to a random safe spot in the wild (it has a cooldown), or walk out and pick your place.
Claim your land: stand in a chunk and type /claim. You can claim up to 25 chunks; /claim trust <player> lets friends build with you, /border shows edges, /unclaim gives a chunk back. Machines and farms only ever work on claimed land.
Set homes with /sethome <name> and return with /home <name> (/homes lists them). Ask to teleport with /tpa <player> or /tpahere <player>; they answer with /tpaccept or /tpdeny. /spawn takes you back.
If you die, your items wait in a grave where you fell. Only you can open it for the first 30 minutes.
Tree assist and vein mining are on: chop a log with an axe and the whole natural tree comes down (a sapling is replanted); sneak while mining an ore and the vein comes with it. /assist toggles them. Reach grows with your skills.
Read /rules. Griefing on someone else's claim isn't possible, and every block is logged.
Chapter 2
The player-run economy.
Coins are network-wide: /balance, /pay <player> <amount>, /baltop. Claim /daily for 250 coins each day, and you earn coins for active play time.
/shop is run by players: it only sells what players have sold to it, and prices move with supply and demand. /sell hand or /sell all (and /sellall) sell to it at half its price, and your items join its stock.
/ah is the auction house: list an item with /ah sell <price>. /orders lets you post what you want to buy, or deliver to others' orders for coins. /offer <player> trades face to face.
/worth shows what the item in your hand is worth. /crate shows your crate keys; /vote gives a vote key for every hour played. /battlepass has daily tasks and tiers of rewards.
Chapter 3
Level up as you play.
Skills level as you play: Mining, Farming, Woodcutting, Fishing, Combat, Crafting and Trading. Each gives bonuses as it grows. /companion shows them, your tasks and achievements.
Industrial work counts too: mining rigs train Mining, farm machines Farming, tree machines Woodcutting, manufacturing Crafting, and contracts Trading.
/resources takes you to the resource world: zones for every skill that regrow by themselves, each opening at a skill level. Build your base in the main world; mine and gather there.
Chapter 4
Quick upgrades from /tech, before the industry.
/tech sells handy tools: growth soil that farms by itself, sell chests that sell what's put in them, build and sell wands, flight vouchers and the block breaker (also craftable from 8 cobblestone around a stick).

Chapter 5
How the industry unlocks, step by step.
The Industrial SMP turns survival into an industry: physical storage, powered machines, automated farms, mining rigs, item pipes, conveyors, companies and contracts. Nothing is virtual: every item is in a real block, and machines only turn real inputs into outputs.
Everything belongs to one of eight technology ages. You can only place a block once you (or your company) have reached its age. Open /industry tech to see your progress and advance:
1Survival β Build your first workshop (where everyone starts)
2Mechanical β Automate a farm. Needs 5,000 coins.
3Electrical β Establish a power grid. Needs 20,000 coins, 1,000 items produced.
4Mining β Operate a quarry. Needs 50,000 coins, 5,000 items produced.
5Manufacturing β Produce industrial parts. Needs 100,000 coins, 20,000 items produced, 2,000 blocks mined.
6Logistics β Build distributed factories. Needs 200,000 coins, 50,000 items produced, 5,000 blocks mined, 10 research notes, 3 contracts.
7Advanced Industry β Manufacture high-tier products. Needs 400,000 coins, 150,000 items produced, 20,000 blocks mined, 40 research notes, 10 contracts.
8Megafactory β Run an industrial corporation. Needs 1,000,000 coins, 400,000 items produced, 100,000 blocks mined, 120 research notes, 30 contracts.
/industry opens the in-game guide with every recipe. Machines are made at a crafting table from plates, gears and a Machine Frame; the advanced ones come out of a Machine Assembler.
Chapter 6
Drawers, crates, silos, controllers and terminals.
Storage blocks hold items in the world. Right-click a drawer with items to put them in; right-click again quickly to put in everything of that type. Left-click its front to take a stack (sneak: one). Sneak-right-click for lock, void-excess, priority and access.
Hoppers work with every storage block: they push in what fits and pull out from below. Breaking a block keeps its contents inside the item.
A Drawer Controller joins every drawer, crate and chest touching it (or each other) within 16 blocks into one store. A Warehouse Terminal touching that store lets you search everything and request it: items arrive in the chest under the terminal, or through Item Pipes if it touches some.

Chapter 7
Generators, batteries, cables and grids.
Machines run on FE (Factory Energy). Generators, batteries and machines that touch each other, or are joined by Power Cables, form a grid. Fuel only burns while something needs power or a battery has room.
When a grid is short, every machine slows down instead of stopping; set a machine's priority to keep it going first. Transformers on the same channel join grids up to 128 blocks apart without cables.

Chapter 8
Processing, parts and upgrades.
Right-click a machine for its control panel: what it's making, power, its input and output, recipe lock, upgrade modules, auto-extract and priority.
Hoppers above or beside a machine feed it (it only takes what it can use); a hopper underneath empties it. Auto-extract pushes finished items into the drawer, crate or chest behind it.

Machines that work real farms.
Build a real farm first: farmland and crops, a tree plantation, animal pens. Then add machines beside it: they work the area around them (right-click β Show its area) and only on land you've claimed.
Crops must be ripe, planting uses real seeds and breeding real food. Harvests go into the machine's output: a hopper underneath, a Crop Sorter, or drawers take them from there.
The Tree Harvester only chops trees with natural leaves, never log buildings.

Chapter 12
Pipes, conveyors, sorting and shipping.
Item Pipes: place an Item Loader against a chest, drawer or machine and it sends items down the pipes it touches; an Item Unloader placed against the block that should receive them takes them out. You can watch items travel through the grates.
Unloaders have filters and priorities; the Overflow Controller catches whatever nothing else has room for. Conveyor Belts carry dropped items the way they face while a powered Conveyor Motor touches the line.

Chapter 15
Run an industrial business.
/company create <name> founds a company (10,000 coins). Members share the technology age and progress, and can use each other's machines and storage. Invite with /company invite <player>; roles are owner, manager and member, and everyone can have a department (Mining, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, Sales).
/industry contracts opens the contract board: orders for goods from NPC clients, in Starter, Industrial and Advanced tiers. Deliver from your inventory and get paid as you go. Making things pays better than selling raw materials. You can hold 3 contracts and finish 6 a day; each tier has a daily budget for the whole server.
Finished contracts and research notes (from the Industrial Research Station) are what the later ages ask for.
Chapter 16
Save a design, build it again, share it.
Craft a Blueprint Tablet: left-click one corner of your build and right-click the opposite one (up to 32Γ32Γ32), then /industry blueprint save <name>. You get a Blueprint item; /industry blueprint gives more copies to give or sell.
Right-click a block with a Blueprint to see where it goes and what it needs. Building takes every block and machine from your inventory first and only builds into empty space on land you can build on. Blueprints carry layout and settings, never contents or upgrades.
Chapter 17
A suggested path.
1Claim land, set a home, gather wood, stone and iron. Build Wooden Drawers to store your hoard.
2Reach the Mechanical age (/industry tech). Build a Coal Generator, Metal Press and Ore Crusher; press plates and gears; make Power Cables.
3Automate a farm: Crop Harvester, Auto Planter, Irrigation Pump, Crop Sorter into drawers.
4Electrical age: Solar and Battery Banks, the Industrial Smelter and Auto Crafter, wire and circuits.
5Mining age: a Mining Rig on your claim, an Ore Washer for 50% more metal, a Steel Mill.
6Manufacturing age: a Machine Assembler, a Research Station for research notes, deliver contracts.
